The Pizza Topper is a robot prototype designed to assist a paralyzed patient in performing a professional job that requires manual labour. It takes EMG measurements taken from arm muscle activity using electrodes and EMG olimex shields coupled with the K64F BioRobotics and motor board to allow patients with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy to control the robot and apply various toppings onto a pizza. The 3D prototype is designed and built using plywood.
